FRC appoints board member to the AASB.
The FRC has announced the appointment of Professor Stephen Taylor as member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). Professor Taylor is Professor of Accounting at UTS Business School.
Professor Taylor has been appointed to the AASB on a part time basis commencing on 1 June 2017. His term will expire on 31 December 2019.
Professor Taylor replaces Professor Ann Tarca on the AASB. Professor Tarca recently took up a permanent role as Research Director with the AASB.
AASB Chair Kris Peach, welcomes the appointment of Professor Taylor, “The AASB has a focus on improving its use of research and evidence in developing its standards. Accordingly, the board will benefit from Stephen’s excellent academic skills and experiences. We look forward to him continuing the long history of academics on the board”.
