AASB Research Forum 2020

The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) in conjunction with the University of New South Wales, co-hosted the 2020 AASB Virtual Research Forum on Monday, November 30, via Zoom, where academics and financial reporting stakeholders from the public sector, for-profit and not-for-profit sectors came together to discuss the following three research projects:

Special guests Ann Tarca, from the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), updated the audience about the IASB’s Work Program and Research opportunities, while Martin Lawrence, from Ownership Matters, discussed how financial statements are used by professional Investors.
 
The 2020 AASB Virtual Research Forum saw an assortment of industry executives, accounting firms, academics and regulators come together virtually for this event, which included interactive panel discussions, audience Q&As, and networking opportunities. Despite everything going on in the world, the forum was a great success and our biggest one yet.
