AASB Dialogue Series: The Changing Landscape of Carbon Offset Disclosures in Annual Reports

The AASB, in collaboration with CPA Australia and CA ANZ, is hosting a Dialogue Series session titled The Changing Landscape of Carbon Offset Disclosures in the Annual Reports on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm AEDT.

The Dialogue Series will commence with a 15-minute presentation by Dr Eric Lee, AASB Research Director and Debra Wan, AASB Senior Technical Fellow.

The presentation will highlight key findings from recent research on carbon offsetting disclosures, particularly regarding carbon credits in annual reports.

This will be followed by a panel discussion, during which the panellists will offer their distinct perspectives on how annual reports can effectively disclose carbon-offsetting information to meet stakeholder needs. The panel discussion will feature: 

• Martin Lawrence, Ownership Matters
• Tara Oakley, South Pole
• Fiona Manning, Australian Council of Superannuation Investors
• Cameron Mathie, Clean Energy Regulator

The session will be chaired by Dr Eric Lee.
