The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) in conjunction with Monash University, co-hosted the AASB Research Forum 2019 on Monday, November 25, where academics and financial reporting stakeholders from the public sector, for-profit and not-for-profit sectors came together to discuss the following three research projects:

Special guest Ann Tarca, from the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), also participated in the Research Forum and presented an update on the IASB’s Research Program and Research Pipeline.
The AASB Research Forum 2019 saw an assortment of industry executives, accounting firms, academics and regulators come together for this event, which included interactive panel discussions, audience Q&As, and networking opportunities.
