SENIOR MANAGERS – CLIMATE/CLIMATE REPORTING - Shape Australia's sustainability reporting landscape

The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) is responsible for delivering accounting and sustainability reporting standards that promote consistency, comparability, and transparency and contribute to stakeholder confidence in Australia’s economy.

We have an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager – Climate/Climate Reporting to join our Sustainability Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the AASB’s work supporting the implementation of AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures, including monitoring implementation issues
• Lead and project manage climate-related standard-setting projects
• Contribute to stakeholder engagement, education and outreach activities
• Contribute to ongoing engagement with international and national standard setters
• Manage and develop staff within the AASB's Sustainability Reporting team

Qualifications and Experience:

• 7+ years’ relevant practical experience relating to one (or a combination) of the following:
  • climate-related practices (e.g. reporting, assurance or policy)
  • greenhouse gas measurement and/or reporting
  • sustainability-related practices (e.g. reporting, assurance or policy)
• Familiarity with climate and/or sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. AASB S2, IFRS SDS, TCFD)
• Proven analytical and communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
• Qualifications in accounting/commerce and/or sustainability, science or engineering
