Lachlan leads the Sustainability Reporting team at the AASB. Lachlan manages the team’s technical standard-setting projects and oversees international and domestic stakeholder engagement.
His experience includes working in academia where he researched and taught sustainability, accounting and finance. He also obtained extensive professional experience in the private sector working on complex forensic accounting and insolvency matters. This diverse experience informs his approach to standard-setting and problem-solving at the AASB. His academic qualifications include a PhD and BAcc (Honours, University Medal), and he holds professional designations as a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia).
